Tea Polso is an experienced and versatile harpsichordist, organist and pianist who, in addition to being a freelance harpsichordist, currently also works as a teacher of piano accompaniment and chamber music at Centria and Novia Universities of Applied Sciences. Polso started playing the piano at the Central Ostrobothnia Conservatory under the guidance of Liisa Soinne and Outi Kangas, among others. Polso then studied harpsichord and organ at the Sibelius Academy, first in the performing arts and later in the church music courses (A - degrees in 2008 and 2011) under teachers Anssi Mattila, Elina Mustonen and Olli Porthan. Polso has mainly worked as a continuo player in various ensembles and orchestras, performed at several domestic festivals and has had many different accompaniment assignments. In the spring of 2022 she graduated as a piano teacher and chamber pianist at the chamber music department at Centria University of Applied Sciences under the direction of Juho Alakärppä.
